about

Written on a one-string home-made silly plywood bass-kind of instrument thing I picked up for 50 bucks. I called it the thing "the b" because it was shaped like a lower-case letter "b". duh. I really wanted to use it on the recording, but it sounded absolutely awful, and not in a good way. I originally thought of this song as post-punk meets Os Mutantes, maybe you can hear that? It is what it is now. Jer tore this one up. There's a drum fill in here that makes me smile everytime I hear it. Kris plays upright bass on this one--yeah, with those eighth notes. We really grew up on this record.

lyrics

Saw enough to chatter all the teeth in my mouth
Shook enough to shatter all the glass in the house

Lying down til I can stand up

I sought out the bottom til I lost my light til my skin turned white
Come as near to a kind of peace as I can short of the bomb

It’s up to the cracking point we’re up to the point of cracking

I got rolled by all institutions money, god, mwamerica
Think it out dungeon priest work it out work the beast

It’s up to the cracking point we’re up to the point of cracking
